We have constantly heard the constant claims by environmental advocates that these CFL bulbs are a requirement for saving our environment and for a "Greener" Earth... But according to this new article, that I came across from the website: Oilprice, at www.oilprice.com, it does appear that these CFL devices and other "Low Energy" light bulbs being promoted, are absolutely not as "Green" as they are made out to be! Here is that article, and I do have my own additional thoughts and comments to follow:
Low Energy Light Bulbs Not So "Green" After All?
NTS Notes: I had not take a close look at LED bulbs previously, due to the high cost associated with using them to replace incandescent bulbs.. But from the findings in this article, it does appear that they are not a "Green" alternative as well!
The Canadian Federal Government in Ottawa is preparing for the removal of all incandescent light bulbs from the Canadian market for sale as of December 31st of this year... I have long asked my Canadian readers to call their Members of Parliament, and immediately put an end to this move...
The fact is that all of the replacements for long proven and safe incandescent light bulbs are absolutely deadly to our environment, and absolutely not "Green" by a long shot... This Oilprice article only proves what I have been saying for a long time to be absolutely true.
Again, never ever use any of the Mercury laden CFL bulbs as a replacement for Incandescent light bulbs... On top of the dangers from the Mercury they contain, I have previously shown that they are a fire hazard, and many people are affected by the light that they produce as well.... It again shows that in our pursuit of making our world a greener place for future generations, the solutions are many times worse than the problems that they are supposed to fix...
