UN To Appoint "Space Ambassador" To Act As First Contact For Aliens Visiting Earth

OK, for a change of topic, I want to touch on a subject that many of my friends and some emails have asked me to give my views about.   That is the belief in extraterrestrial life and the possibilities that we have already been visited by Alien life forms, or if we are about to be visited shortly by Alien life forms!

Being a man of science, I have long believed that we are absolutely not alone in the Cosmos.   For mankind to think that he is alone in this Universe is absolute lunacy.   This spiral galaxy of ours, the Milky Way, has somewhere in the neighbourhood of some 1 Billion stars.  It is a known fact from astronomical observations and measurements that at least 10% of that total would have companion planets. Now if you take this figure of 100 Million solar systems within our own galaxy and even say that only yellow dwarf stars have the longevity necessary to have planets with possibility of developing complex life forms, and say that only 1% of all stars in our Galaxy are Yellow dwarfs,  you have 1 Million yellow dwarf star solar systems.  Now you take it even further...Now if you say 1% of that 1 Million solar systems would have earth like planets that have developed the type of atmosphere and conditions for life, you have 10,000+ life sustaining solar systems within our own galaxy!    But with new ways of looking at how life can develop in amazing ways throughout the Cosmos,  it can be assumed that even this 10,000+ life supporting solar system number may be too small.

One other major problem with extraterrestrial life is the distance between these life supporting solar systems which limits the possibility of contact with these other worlds.  Our star, Sol, is actually in a very sparse area at the edge of a spiral arm within our galaxy, and the nearest stars that could sustain life are at least 50-100 light years away!     To cover these distances without "faster than light" travel is a near impossibility.    Even radio waves that have been sent out into space for the last century are only now reaching that 100 light year distance.   If our signals are received by alien receivers, the return signal, if any and if limited by the speed of light, will take another century to be picked up here by receivers on earth!

I have also been asked if we are, or have been visited by Extraterrestrial beings.  I look at it this way... If these beings have the technology and capability of visiting our lonely planet, then their technology and science is well beyond ours.   It is my belief that if they are visiting us, then they would be doing it with the understanding of not directly interfering with our own development....Sort of a Universal "Prime Directive" of non-interference.  It would make sense because they would be beyond our scope of science and technology and would be comparable to what the Europeans were to the native Americans when the Europeans began their conquest of the New World.    We can see what the devastating results were by studying history about that interference!

So now comes the question:  Are UFO's real?  Possibly...The facts are now coming out that the strange aircraft that people have been observing for years have a very terrestrial origin and are most probably many secretive projects being carried out by our own governments.    But it is obvious that not ALL of the UFO sightings are military/secret aircraft, and the possibility of them being from a non-earthly source is open to speculation.

Ok, now you have my views on UFO's, ET, etc....Now we come to today, and this new article from, where it seems that the United Nations has just appointed a "Space Ambassador" to act as first contact for when or if Alien life forms make official "contact" with Earth.    I want to present the article here for my readers to view, with my further comments to follow:

United Nations to appoint space ambassador to act as first contact for aliens visiting Earth

Last updated at 3:56 PM on 26th September 2010

If aliens ever land on Earth there will no longer be any confusion over who will greet them with the news the United Nations is set to appoint an astrophysicist to be their first human contact.

Mazlan Othman is expected to be tasked with coordinating humanity's response to an extraterrestrial visit, if ever required.

The 58-year-old Malaysian will tell a conference next week that with the recent discovery of hundreds of planets orbiting around other stars, the detection of alien life is becoming more and more likely.

Mazlan Othman
Take us to your leader: Mazlan Othman is expected to be tasked with coordinating humanity's response to an extraterrestrial visit

Ms Othman, currently the head of the UN's Office for Outer Space Affairs (Unoosa), recently told fellow scientists that mankind needed to be ready to deal with alien contact.

'The continued search for extraterrestrial communication, by several entities, sustains the hope that some day human kind will received signals from extraterrestrials,' she said.

'When we do, we should have in place a coordinated response that takes into account all the sensitivities related to the subject.
'The UN is a ready-made mechanism for such coordination.'

Friendly? Professor Stephen Hawking has questioned the theory of non-threatening alien visitors, such as ET in the Hollywood film
Plans to make Unoose the coordinating body for dealing with alien encounters are set to be debated by UN scientific advisory committees.

If the idea is backed it will then head to General Assembly.

Professor Richard Crowther, head of the UK delegation to the UN committee, admitted recently: '[Ms] Othman is absolutely the nearest thing we have to a "take me to your leader" person.'

In April though Professor Stephen Hawking warned that the alien contact, if it ever comes, may not be as friendly as has been hoped.

In a documentary, the 68-year-old scientist said he imagined aliens arriving in 'massive ships' and could try to colonise Earth and plunder the planet's resources.

'We only have to look at ourselves to see how intelligent life might develop into something we wouldn’t want to meet,' he said.

'I imagine they might exist in massive ships, having used up all the resources from their home planet. Such advanced aliens would perhaps become nomads, looking to conquer and colonise whatever planets they can reach.'

He added: 'It would be 'too risky' to attempt to make contact with alien races. If aliens ever visit us, I think the outcome would be much as when Christopher Columbus first landed in America, which didn’t turn out very well for the Native Americans.'

NTS Notes:  It does seem strange that this type of action is happening now.   It does seem that with the criminal elite failing to get their war with Iran off the ground, and their failure to get their "Global Warming" scam launched, they need something new to scare the crap out of people... So why not a fear of extraterrestrial space aliens, and the possibility of an "invasion" from outer space?

The question becomes:  How gullible will people get?   I have already stated my position as to the probability of Alien existence... But readers, you need to ask yourselves... Why are they pushing this now?

More to come

I would add - ". . . to eventually use against us gullible goyim."

As for the alien angle - I sincerely hope they too can travel through the huge Van Allen radiation belts surrounding Earth without getting fried, fricasseed and barbecued, just like the Moon Landing heroes didn't.

I agree with what you are saying, "Van Allen"... but I decided to limit the size of the article...

Good points about the VA belt because I have said that it was the barrier that has always prevented man space missions to the moon.

BUT...If aliens are indeed visiting earth, the fact would be that they would have obviously solved the radiation problems of both the VA barrier, and interstellar space... Something our terrestrial scientists are still trying to solve...
